Welcome to the Lux Punk Blog!

I’m thrilled to welcome you to the Lux Punk blog and share the story behind the creation of my brand. This post kicks off a series where we’ll explore jewelry, alternative fashion, and the unique vision driving Lux Punk.

The Inspiration Behind Lux Punk

From my first pair of pink Converse high-tops in the 90s to my ever-growing collection of tattoos and piercings, alternative fashion has always been a part of my life. My love for the rebellious, bold, and unique aspects of alt culture started in my pre-teen years, shaped by the music and style of late 90s and early 2000s punk rock and alt-metal scenes. But as I grew older and more confident in who I am, I realized something was missing from the alternative fashion market: high-quality, edgy pieces that combined luxury with individuality.

As a shy, socially anxious teen, I often felt out of place, hiding behind a 'resting bitch face' and trying to blend into the background. I dressed how I wanted, but I wasn’t confident enough to fully embrace my style. Fast forward to adulthood, and I’ve found not only my voice but also my passion for creating something that reflects both the edge and sophistication that punk, goth, and alternative fashion can offer. That’s why I founded Lux Punk—to provide those like me with high-quality jewelry and fashion that allows you to express your individuality without compromise.

Our Mission and Values

At Lux Punk, we’re dedicated to blending punk rock, goth, and alternative fashion with a luxurious twist. Our collections emphasize high-quality jewelry and fashion that stand out in any setting, whether you’re at the office or rocking out at a local show. As a small, woman-owned business, we celebrate diversity and individuality, offering pieces that cater to anyone who dares to dress differently.

Our core collection focuses on comfortable, hypoallergenic titanium flatback earrings and stacking rings, designed for both style and durability. We also plan to feature casual graphic tees for everyday wear and corporate goth/alt attire that allows you to maintain your individuality in professional environments.

Why I Started Lux Punk

After more than 10 years in corporate marketing and technology roles, I experienced severe burnout that led to a mental and physical health crisis. During my recovery, I realized that I didn’t need to fit into the mold of working for someone else. Instead, I could create something that aligned with my passion for fashion, jewelry, and self-expression. Lux Punk was born from that realization—a way to turn my long-standing love for alternative fashion into a brand that others could connect with.

Building Lux Punk has been a deeply personal journey of reclaiming my identity and pushing through societal expectations. The world is finally becoming more accepting of individuality, and I’m excited to provide pieces that help others embrace their true selves unapologetically.

The Future of Lux Punk

Looking ahead, I have big plans for Lux Punk. In addition to our current collections, we plan to expand by offering more jewelry options, including moissanite rings and skull rings, as well as continuing to grow our corporate goth and alternative apparel lines. We’re also working towards opening a boutique retail store in Orlando, Florida, where we’ll offer not only our products but also services like professional body piercing, alternative nail designs, and more.

I envision Lux Punk as more than just a brand—it’s a community of individuals who embrace their uniqueness. If you’re in the beauty, piercing, or tattoo industries and are interested in collaborating, please reach out. I’d love to hear from you.
